Course Introduction/ Synopsis:
When work is performed on elevated surfaces or during construction activities, protection against falls must be considered. Employers are required to provide a training program for each employee who might be exposed to fall hazards. The program must provide each employee to recognize the hazards of falling and then provide solutions to minimize these hazards.
Course Details:
This interactive session provides participants with an understanding of both conventional and non-conventional fall protection.
Topics include:
- Scope of fall hazards in construction
- Relevant OSHA regulations
- Hierarchy of fall protection
- Requirements for and uses of conventional fall protection
- Covers, rails, personal fall arrest devices
- Requirements for and uses of non-conventional fall protection
- CAZ, safety monitor, written plans, etc.

How long is the certification good for?
These courses do not expire however retraining is recommended every 3 years due to changes in regulations, standards and technology.

This session is a four (4) hour training session designed for employees who have to use both conventional and unconventional types of fall protection.
