Course Introduction/ Synopsis:
This interactive session identifies the causes, indicators, and resultant problems of substance abuse and substance dependency in the US transportation industry.
It describes the US laws that relate to drug and alcohol testing of transportation employees and outlines DOT regulations that enforce compliance among transportation employers. This course meets the 2 hour training requirement imposed by the DOT.

- Signs and Symptom of Substance Abuse
- Policies/ Employee Assistance Program

How long is the certification good for?
This course does not expire however retraining is recommended every 3 years due to changes in regulations, standards and technology.
What is the length of the course?
Length of Course: Up to 3 hours for employees. Up to 4 hours for supervisors. This course meets the 2 hour training requirement imposed by the federal DOT.
