Course Introduction/ Synopsis:
Back injuries are considered the nation's #1 workplace safety problem. Back injuries are often very painful; are a lifetime disability; and are expensive to diagnose and treat.
For that reason back injuries account for one of every five workplace injuries or illnesses. Further, one-fourth of all compensation indemnity claims involve back injuries, costing employers billions of dollars. These figures do not begin to reflect the pain and suffering employees experience as a result of their injuries.
This interactive session provides participants with the knowledge and tools they need to reduce the risk of back injuries while lifting and handling materials.
