Course Introduction/ Synopsis:
This interactive session will help ensure that your employees have the confidence and skills necessary to take action should a fire occur at your facility. Safety Links uses state of the art fire extinguisher training equipment from BullEx.
Our live fire BullEx system eliminates the need to use actual fire extinguishers, thus reducing the cost and mess of the training. Instead the system uses high tech lasers with compressed air and water mist to exactly simulate how a real extinguisher works.
We are the only training organization in Florida who has invested in this state of the art equipment!

Who requires fire extinguisher training?
OSHA requires fire extinguisher training for your staff if they are expected to user fire extinguishers. Here is what the OSHA regulations say:
- 1910.157(g)(1) Where the employer has provided portable fire extinguishers for employee use in the workplace, the employer shall also provide an educational program to familiarize employees with the general principles of fire extinguisher use and the hazards involved with incipient stage firefighting.
- 1910.157(g)(2) The employer shall provide the education required in paragraph (g)(1) of this section upon initial employment and at least annually thereafter.
How long is the certification good for?
This course does not expire however OSHA does require retraining annually to ensure the skill is maintained.
What is the length of the course?
Our hands-on fire extinguisher class includes an hour of class room training and about an hour of hands on training. Larger classes may take more time to allow everybody to practice with the extinguisher.
